Got this recipe when I purchased paneer packet....Made some addition and subtraction of recipes and the final product was this....
Paneer cubes- 2 cups
Paneer cubes- 2 cups
Red chilly sauce- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cornflour- 2 tbsp
Soy sauce- 1 tbsp
Egg- 1
Ginger-garlic paste- 2 tsp
Vegetable oil to fry
Onion- 1(coarsely chopped)
Spring Onion- 2 tbsp(finely chopped)
Green chilles- 2(chopped)
Garlic-2 tsp(minced)
1. Coat paneer with salt, cornflour, egg, ginger-garlic paste and water. Keep for half an hour.
2. Heat oil in a wok and fry the paneer pieces until golden colour.Drain and keep aside.
3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok and stir fry the onions in it for 2 to 3 mins on medium flame.
4. Add minced garlic, green chillies, and fry for a second.Add the sauces and mix well.
5. Then add 1/4 cup water and bring to boil. When water reduces and becomes very less add the fried paneer pieces and mix well.Heat it till there is no water at all/very little water.
6. Switch Off the flame and sprinkle the spring onion.Serve warm with pulao/fried rice/variety rice.
Tips:
1. If you want it in gravy form, then instead of adding water add-2 tbsp cornflour mixed in little water. When it starts to thicken add fried paneer, mix well and cook for 2 mins and switch off the heat.
2. Egg can be omitted.
